Our family (2 adults: 2 kids) have finally had a fantastic 3 days staying here after an aborted attempt in January as a result of border closures. Jennifer was quick to communicate with and and the detailed instructions for arrival were spot on. The house itself is even better than the photos - floor to ceiling windows frame vistas of Satellite Island and the coastline, the new deck (almost complete, but completely useable now) was wonderful to sit out on in the late afternoon sun whilst enjoying local cheese, oysters and a bottle of wine. Beds were very comfortable, reverse cycle air conditioning worked a treat to take the chill off while we got to work lighting the fire (kids loved a quick wheelbarrow ride around the garden after chopping wood, too!), and the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and anything else you may need whilst staying. Bathrooms have shampoo/conditioner/shower gel...and heat lamps to take the chill off on freezing days! The weather was as wild as the rugged southern coast, but this didn’t stop us having the best time, both exploring the surrounding area and staying warm and cosy in front of the fire with a glass of red. The Bruny Pub is a quick walk down the road for dinner (book ahead), and also does great take away pizza. We spotted a white wallaby on our first night and loved being able to gaze up at the stars from the deck at night before the weather turned. We will be recommending Jennifer’s place to others. It really is the perfect place to stay.
